Welcome to Miss You Pet Bereavement Counselling

Many people have asked me why I chose to become a Pet Bereavement Counsellor thinking that it must be hard to listen to other people's heart breaking stories of the loss of their pets. It's not easy because I feel for every one of my clients but I also know how it feels to lose a pet unexpectedly and hearing the devastating words that nothing more can be done.

That's why I chose this path, because the rewards of supporting and guiding my clients through their heartbreak and seeing them come to terms with their loss and begin to live their new life is the most amazing feeling. Once my clients are healing and can see how far they have come on their own journey they are as proud of themselves as I am of them.

I wish I could wave a magic wand and bring your beautiful pet back but I can't and I can't promise to take your pain away forever but as we work together through your grief, you will begin to see things in a different more positive way, even if that seems unlikely as you are reading this. It's fine to miss your pet and it's also fine to begin to heal too.

About me

My name is Sue Bibb and I studied Pet bereavement Counselling for 18 months with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training. Once I passed this course I went on to study Advanced Pet Bereavement Counselling so I am a specialist in Bereavement Counselling for all pets that you may share your life with.

I have also extensively studied the human-animal bond which I found fascinating and it really helped me to see why the death of a pet can be so hard for us to come to terms with.

The photo above is of my Golden Retriever, Libby and my kitten Lola. They play and sleep together - usually sleeping on my bed which leaves little room for me! I have been fortunate enough to share my life with several pets over the last 34 years including, dogs, cats, rabbits, fish and stick insects. Each pet inevitably became a loss, some before their time and others who had lived a long and happy life.

If you would like to know more about my Counselling sessions, please have a look around my website and get in touch. All sessions are via video or telephone calls so that I can reach out to you wherever you are situated in the UK. I look forward to hearing from you.

With warmest wishes
Sue Bibb
